Sophia Winter Try this election-time experience to help your group to reflect on the rich history we call our own and the need we have to love and care for one another. Have someone read Martin Luther King’s "I Have a Dream" speech. Then break into pairs. Allow time for each person to share their individual goals and dreams that they desire for themselves and their loved ones. What are your individual dreams? What dreams do you have for your family? Have each person write down their specific responses and exchange them. When all return to the main group format, have your leader encourage everyone to pray specifically for these dreams and goals to become a reality in each other's lives. Encourage follow-up so that joys and accomplishments can be shared and celebrated!
